Re: How long can the audi last Some of you people make me laugh.
Do you really think your car is going to start falling apart just because you hit the k mile mark? Modern engines will run for practically forever. Hell, I went big turbo on my old Eclipse at k. Same thing with my Volvo R, it had around k on it when I sold it and it ran super strong, even after countless miles of being modded and running 18 psi. Take care of your car and it will take care of you.

Here are some of the things potential buyers of used Audi cars should note about Audi cars and their mileage. It just means that the vehicle has done a lot of work which is why they were built. The most important thing is the level of maintenance of the previous or current owner.
Though an Audi with low mileage commands a higher resale value, you can still find a bargain with a car with high mileage. The sad fact is the cambelt of the TT starts to fail around 60, miles. This instrument cluster problem is quite common; several dials on the instrument cluster start to fail after a while. These failures include indicator lights and meters like the rpm and speedometer. More often than not, the reason for this hesitancy is a busted mechatronics unit that costs an arm and a leg.
In most used Audi TTs, the suspension gives a knocking sound caused by lousy roll bar bushes. The reason for this is a lousy coil pack in the machine. Many Audi cars also have coil problems after a while. One mileage problem of the TT is a jittery ride due to a bad air mass sensor called air mass meter.
After a while, the air mass sensor fails and has to be replaced. Constant use of the electric windows leads to its breaking down after a while.
I'm very happy to have purchased my Audi A6 back in I'm very confident that I can easily double my existing , km with continued serviced as provided by my local Audi Dealership. I own a audi a4 2. Needed a few wheel bearings, and old rims were bent. I replaced the front control arms, It also needed new eccentric bolts for my toe adjustment. No big deal at all. I put 30k miles on and it currently has k miles on it. Its not taboo to see a 2.
I've seen it. Stephaudi answered 5 years ago. I am due to buy an Audi A3 Cabriolet 1. I will only use as a run around and will no doubt clock less then 10k per year. Ebony answered 5 years ago. I have a audi mileswith , miles n still runs great Can anyone share what gas they use on thier audi? Matt answered 5 years ago. I have a A4 2. Premium fuel, and regular synthetic oil changes.
This thing runs like it was brand new! I have owned 2 Audi's with very high miles My 02' A6 2. Not a friend anymore. I then bought a Audi A4 1. Sometimes I wonder why anyone would build something that did not do this. Jim answered 4 years ago. Corrie answered 4 years ago. I say over ,00 if you take care of it I got a Audi A4 1. I am at , miles on a 1. I replaced the turbocharger about 30, miles ago not because it wasn't blowing, but because while i was checking i noticed some side play at the shaft.
Replaced a clutch, some vacumm components, alternator nothing major. Compression, everything is good. I have a 2. Serviced twice a year, synthetic oil always, by a brilliant mechanic. Timing belt done, water pump, usual stuff. Never push over rpm until engine is warm.
She's not particularly fast but she's smooth and reliable, engine looks and sounds brand new. I had a A4 and had ongoing electrical and mechanical issues. Several recalls early on. The things that surprised me most, however, were the oil usage lubing the turbo and in-town mileage. It says something when your owner's manual states that the engine will use oil.
Mine went through a quart every 3 thousand miles. While I could get mpg on the interstate at 70, my A4 could only deliver 18 mpg in town. My dad's full-sized pickup could do that.
Since you're using premium in this car, it's not cheap to operate. And as others have pointed out, Audi service is very pricey. I loved the design of my A4, but could not recommend it.
With all VAG vehicles, replaces all seals, gaskets I would say every 50, miles even if it doesn't need it. Cooling o-rings and those hard plastic cooling flanges, thermostat, flush your coolant.
It should run good for a long time. GuruW7L53 answered 3 years ago. The '13 has the better reliability reviews which is important to me however, I'm nervous about buying a car with higher miles. I had the Oil Consumption issue at 50, miles that was covered under warranty. Basically the motor was rebuilt at that time. It runs perfect aside from some regular maint. I'm hoping for another 50 to k miles from it.
I change the oil every 7k and have had regular maint. GuruV1CT5 answered 3 years ago. I have a A4 TDI hp that's done , miles, I'd say it's goes better now than it did when I bought with , 12 years ago. The interior is now falling to pieces I live in southern Spain and it's very hot but it still looks pretty presentable and has absolutely no rust issues whatsover, but you'd expect that living near a desert But how long can an Audi actually last?
The answer to that question depends upon a number of factors that we will be exploring in this blog by Pfaff Audi. If you are looking into buying a new or pre-owned Audi vehicle, it stands to reason that you would want a high-quality reliable vehicle.
In this blog, we will be talking about the reliability of Audi vehicles and how long they can last. The first thing that you need to know is that with the right vehicle maintenance, it is theoretically possible to make a modern vehicle run forever. But with a reasonable amount of maintenance, a modern vehicle can last somewhere between , kilometers to , kilometers. That number is based on taking really good care of the car, doing all of the maintenance that is required and recommended; and replacing your Audi parts as soon as they start to wear out.
So, how does Audi stack up against the average?
