Can you change shafts on drivers

The F9 was custom fitted by Club Champion. I really like the shaft in the F9. Can I simply take the Cobra tip adapter off and put a Callaway adapter on the tip of the Ventus and put the Max head on it and not have any negative effects? Assuming the tip diameters are the same, yes. If they're not, you can always insert a smaller tip diameter into a larger tip adapter aka doing. Chef23 Well-known member. Do most major manufacturer driver heads have the same diameter?

I would think Cobra and Callaway would be the same. Having just got into removing adapters from graphite one done with a home-made system make sure you can get a decent shaft puller, definitely should not be tried by hand. Shorten Golf Clubs. Prepare the tip of the new driver shaft by scraping the paint and polyurethane off with a sharp knife. Make sure you don't cut in to the shaft or create a flat spot by scraping too much. Mix your shaft epoxy on a piece of cardboard with a craft stick. Professional shaft epoxy comes in two parts; mix them together according to the instructions on the epoxy bottles.

Place the ferrule onto the shaft. To do this, place a small amount of epoxy on the inside of the ferrule and slide the ferrule onto the shaft, narrow end first. If you get a new shaft without the adapter then any pro should be able to salvage your old adapter from your ruined shaft and install it. Anyone ever bought shafts off ebay or anything worried if they are the genuine article.

Stuey01 Journeyman Pro Apr 21, Bought a couple, no issues so far. Got one with a titleist tip already installed and another without a tip on it that I had a nike tip put in and am using it in my covert tour driver.
