So far in Season 5, we're all trying to figure out who killed Mrs. DiLaurentis and who killed Bethany Young. Caleb might not have been involved in the final reveal of who killed Olivia and Luke's father on Ravenswood , but that murder mystery was central to the show's storyline and to the people living in the town.
Caleb learned something important from his time in Ravenswood — how to follow clues and how to determine whether or not a clue is important — and that's going to come in handy this season on PLL. Especially now that the liars have that creepy Bethany drawing of Mrs. Caleb's time on Ravenswood was an eye-opener, so I can't see anything that "A" is capable of being able to shock or surprise him anymore.
I mean, he was living amongst ghosts and accepted that that was his life. Ali coming back from "the dead" and "A" blowing up a house is really nothing compared to trying to bring a dead girl back to life or finding out that you're destined to die because of a year-old curse.
Basically, Caleb's going to be a lot more critical and perhaps observant of "A" acts of terror because the surprise factor just isn't there anymore.
One of the big Ravenswood questions was whether or not Miranda's uncle was just creepy or evil. And, in the early episodes of the show, Caleb was convinced that it was the latter. He was wrong. Miranda's uncle actually turned out to be one of the good guys who'd been trying to protect the town and his niece all along.
More like this. Watch options. Storyline Edit. A curse will fall. Drama Horror Mystery Thriller. Did you know Edit. Trivia A spin-off of Pretty Little Liars The backdoor pilot was season 4 episode Grave New World User reviews 37 Review. Top review. I'll stick with Pretty Little Liars. It's a spin-off of the popular teen soap "Pretty Little Liars" and follows the character of Caleb Rivers, played by hunky Tyler Blackburn, as he discovers a deadly curse that has plagued the town of Ravenswood for generations.
Let me get one thing straight: I'm a big fan of teen drama series, and "Pretty Little Liars" is one of the best ones in years. I also love a good mystery. But the supernatural theme of "Ravenswood" put me off a bit, probably because it's so far from the "Pretty Little Liars" universe.
Also, the acting isn't that good. I can live with subpar acting as long as I like a series in general, but there is something quite cheesy about "Ravenswood". Not even the cute guys can save it. Sure, it's entertaining at times, but it seems they're trying to hard to compete with "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" instead of doing their own thing.
I don't regret watching "Ravenswood", but to be honest, I won't miss it that much. And I'm definitely not surprised it got cancelled. The pact sacrificed five teens from Ravenswood whenever a soldier came back to Ravenswood unharmed, and Caleb and his friends were next on the list to be offed.
Sure makes A seem like NBD, doesn't it? One interesting aspect of Ravenswood was that one of the five teens involved in the pact — and Caleb's potential "soul mate" — actually died in the first episode of the series. Miranda Collins the girl with the chic haircut pictured above drowned when the car carrying her and her four ill-fated friends drove off a bridge. Miranda was the girl that Hanna told Caleb to "keep safe" when he decided to stay in Ravenswood — and Caleb basically failed at that.
For someone who spent a majority of Pretty Little Liars fighting off A attacks and guys with guns remember that showdown with Nate at the lighthouse? But while Caleb may have failed at protecting Miranda from death in a car crash, Ravenswood hinted that Miranda's life wasn't necessarily over.
Miranda appeared as a ghost throughout the course of the short series and was able to communicate with her cursed friends. In the Ravenswood finale, the Pact Maker aka "the bad guy" wanted to bring Miranda back so that all five teens could die together, fulfilling the promise that their ancestors made years prior.
Miranda's uncle stopped the Pact Maker from completely the task, but did say that Miranda could come back to life. Unfortunately, Ravenswood was canceled before Miranda was brought back from the dead. Now, Caleb is back in Rosewood, which is making us wonder just what happened to him in that small town.
